Learning How to Rest

Is Sabbath more than just a day that Chick-Fil-A is closed? Carol, Tricia and Kelly are talking about Sabbath and what God intended when He commanded us to observe the Sabbath.

Observing the Sabbath is good for your soul and allows you to trust that what God has done is good enough.

Observing the Sabbath doesn’t mean checking of the boxes of attending church or taking a nap. Sabbath is resting in the Lord and taking delight in Him and what He has done and will do.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” – Matthew 11:28-30

Girl! We are right there with you. Slowing down seems counter intuitive to moving closer to Jesus, sometimes. But He invites us into a deeper relationship with Him when we take the time to focus on Him and worship. Let’s give it a shot together!

Thank God this a witness what God was saying to me the other. I am so busy doing nothing. I don’t kno how stop 🛑 and just not sleep but rest.in Him. To breathe and look at the beautiful trees. I rush my week away instead cherishing every moment. Thanking God for this day. Because when I do that I am rushing right past God. Thank y’all for this podcast. I heard this in my Bible study class but I thank God for the reminder. I love listening to you ladies.

Thank you so much for this podcast about Sabbath. I’m right there with you, Carol, with a phone addiction. I can remember back to life “before the phone” and it did have a more peaceful feel. I am a homeschool mom of 7 kids. The ones I raised “before the phone” had a more settled fun mom. Hoping I can make it to the Billy Graham Training Center in 2024 and I would love to meet you ladies. Thank you for making my busy days more joyful!
