You Heal Hearts Through Girl Talk

Back in 2019, Morgan Heatherly wasn’t sure she wanted to live another day. The young wife and mother had battled crippling depression and anxiety for most of her life. Shaken by personal tragedy and a struggling marriage, Morgan pleaded with Jesus, “I can’t take this anymore. Show me my purpose, or just let me go.” 

God answered, and He used you to do it. 

Because of your support, Morgan found hope through the music and ministry on The Light FM. Morgan’s life truly began to change when she discovered the Girl Talk podcast. “The girls became my family,” she confides. “My village isn’t large. They’ve been the mom I needed, the girlfriend I needed. They’re honest and vulnerable about their struggles and discuss things I’ve been experiencing. They make me feel like I’m not alone. Listening has filled my anxious heart with peace.”

Morgan devoured every Girl Talk episode on The Light FM app. Through the laughter, tears, and Biblically based wisdom, Morgan found community—and God’s love. “I found myself growing in confidence and validation from other women. They share the crazy, the ugly, the funny, and the sad with love and compassion. They just want people to know Jesus.” 

As Morgan’s heart healed, she discovered her purpose. “I want to show the world what it really means to be loved by Jesus and to encourage those around me.” 

Last summer, Morgan drove six hours round trip from her home in Tennessee to meet hosts and “girlfriends” Carol, Kelly, and Tricia at a live Girl Talk podcast recording in Asheville. “I was bound and determined to meet them. I was a blubbering mess, but I finally got to see and hug the women who’ve been my lifelines for years.” 

Because of you, Morgan found community, purpose, and a stronger faith in Jesus. “This podcast has felt like a life-giving conversation between godly sisters. Your support brings Jesus into our homes, cars, and everyday moments.”
