Life Can Change In An Instant
Sometimes change is wonderful and other times, it’s the last thing you want. You may get a job offer, meet the love of your life, receive a scary diagnosis or see war and crises in the news. Your new normal may not feel normal at all.
Katy Nichole’s life changed after she posted her original song, “In Jesus Name (God of Possible)” on TikTok and got more than 2 million views and thousands of shares. The Light FM is playing her debut radio single that now has more than 180 million listens all over the world.
Katy wasn’t your typical overnight success, though. Her song is a testament to hurt, depression and finally, healing. “In Jesus Name” came from a very personal place – Katy’s prayer journal. After battling serious medical issues and spiraling into depression, she cried out to Jesus and her life is now a testimony to His healing power.
God’s timing is perfect.
But sometimes tough changes don’t leave when we want them to. Sometimes God’s timeline is different than ours.
The Apostle Paul was living through major life changes when he was writing his second letter to the Corinthians in 2 Corinthians 12. He faced a lot of adversity after his miraculous conversion from a religious zealot to a Christ follower, but he did it in faith knowing that God was faithful.
Paul wrote about the ‘thorn’ in his flesh, saying this:
“I asked the Lord three times about this, that it would depart from me. But He said to me, ‘My grace is enough for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’ So then, I will boast most gladly about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may reside in me. Therefore, I am content with weaknesses, with insults, with troubles, with persecutions and difficulties for the sake of Christ, for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.”
No matter where you are in life – when it changes, God is still in control and He still has a plan. Your story is part of God’s bigger plan and you have the privilege of knowing the Author.
“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory…” Ephesians 3:20-21

God can use you.
“There’s no story that doesn’t matter to God. Every story was written by Him, and He’s the greatest author of all time,” Katy said. “God’s healed me, so I know He can heal someone else. I’m going to share my story and hope it will encourage others to go and share theirs.”
God is still a God of miracles. He can use your prayers to change your life. He can use the cries of your heart to bring healing. He can use your storm to help calm someone else’s.
Let your life changes change the world. Pray that breakthrough would happen today.
