If you’re realizing that life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, crank up Rend Collective’s new song, “Hallelujah Anyway.” This song is an incredible shift in perspective in that “even if my daylight never dawns, even if my breakthrough never comes, even if, I’ll fight to bring You praise.“
“No matter what happens, God deserves praise anyway…He is worthy no matter what we’re going through.”
-Gareth Gilkeson, Rend Collective
If the storm clouds are rolling in and you just aren’t seeing them clear up anytime soon, there’s still hope. We aren’t going to tell you that everything will be better soon – maybe it will, but it might not be. And even if it doesn’t, we can trust that God is still good and His plans are good…and we can praise Him through it all.
“I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. 13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:12-13
Yet, I will rejoice.
If you’re walking through difficulty, you aren’t alone. Habukkuk lamented about the hard times, but remained resolute that God was good:
Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to tread on the heights.
Habakkuk 3:17-19
God can heal, but even if it’s not in the way you’re wanting Him to do it, God’s Word tells us that all things will work out for our good (Romans 8:28) and He’ll never forget you (Isaiah 49:15).
Choose hallelujah anyway.
