Gifted for a Purpose

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 1 Corinthians 12:4-7

You were never meant to do everything, but you were meant to do something. The Holy Spirit gives each of us unique gifts — wisdom, encouragement, teaching, giving, hospitality, and so many more — to help others see Jesus.

The best part? You don’t have to earn or deserve your gifts. They’re freely given by our generous God who delights in using ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

When we try to serve outside our gifting, we end up exhausted. But when we serve within it, we experience the deep joy of knowing we’re right where God wants us.
