Operation Christmas Child Packing Party – Columbus, NC

Polk Baptist Association is sponsoring an Operation Christmas Child Packing Party and Outreach Event for the community. It will be held at Stearns Park on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 9 am until 12 pm. Bring any monetary and physical donations to the event. We will have shoeboxes to pack there for both boys and girls, ages 2-4, 5-9, and 10-14 years old to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. Please visit samaritanspurse.org for a list of approved and nonapproved items. We pack school supplies, toys, small games, clothing, shoes under size 10, and etc. Things not allowed to be packed are liquids, camouflage items, soap, toothpaste, weapon, etc.

A community outreach will happen at the same time where local churches will set up tables to help reach people in need. There will be tables about GriefShare, Gideons, the Hope Chest, event information for men, women, youth, kids, widows and much more.  There will be bounce houses for the kids along with a concession stand for sweet treats and Southern Fusion BBQ will provide sandwiches. All concession items and food or drink will be a suggested donation to help raise money to ship the shoeboxes. You don’t want to miss the fun opportunity in our community. It will be a rain or shine event. In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside to Columbus Baptist Church. We are challenging all of Polk County to pack 10,000 shoeboxes this year.
