Doc

Doc

First of all, it’s a nickname. Doc, the name, was given to me by my wife. Something about a radio doctor, I don’t know if I ascribe to the definition but I do know that it stuck.

I love that you’re checking me out here on the “about Doc page”. I also love that I get to play great songs about Jesus for you. What can I tell you about me that would help you know me? Oh, I have a 30 second seriousness threshold. That means if I’m in a situation that is serious, I may be thinking something very funny after about 30 seconds. I might even say what’s on my mind. Honestly, sometimes it’s awkward. Not for me, but for everyone else in the room.

What else? Oh yeah, I love Jesus. And that should NEVER go without saying IMHO.

I’m 36 years old and have been 36 years old ever since I turned 36. Unfortunately, I rarely act my age. Or maybe it’s not unfortunate.

If you were paying attention earlier, you already know that I’m married. I have five children and some of them are older than I am (it’s been 30 seconds and you’d get that joke if you’re really reading carefully).

Favorite famous person? Jesus. Favorite book? Bible. Favorite meal? The Last Supper! But I also enjoy a good hamburger, Tom Clancy novels, and I really don’t follow any famous persons.

I did play college baseball to attempt to carry on the Maranville baseball name (look it up), but radio caught my ear before I became a friend of Jesus (in relationship for those speaking Christianese right now). So, for all of my 36 years, minus the first eight, I’ve been trying to bring joy to someone like you. Jesus is the ace up my sleeve.

And, as I’ve said at the end of every shift on the radio; Jesus loves you and I love you. Jesus is coming back but I gotta go! Have a Holy Spirit infused day!
