Weeknights 12am-5am
Hi, I’m Braxton, and when I first started doing overnights for The Light FM, I had the hardest time deciding whether I should call it morning or night. I mean, TECHNICALLY it’s morning… but does anyone actually say that before 5 a.m.? Hmmmm…
Anyway — I’m glad to meet you! I’ve been with The Light FM since 2019, and it’s so much fun hanging out with you each weekday overnight. As you get to know me, you’ll quickly learn, first and foremost, of my love for Jesus. I firmly believe that as long as you have breath in your lungs, God has a purpose for your day — no matter what you’re going through.
You’ll also hear me talk about my love for my family, my obsession with disc golf, the highs and lows of my following sports, and some crazy stories from life with my wife, Kandace, and our dog, Boone. I grew up in Wilkes County, North Carolina, graduated from Appalachian State in 2018 (Roll ’Neers!), married my best friend — whom I met in college — in 2021, and now I’m… well, figuring it out as I go. Man, has God blessed me.
Life has its ups and downs, but through it all, I believe God puts people in our lives to help us along the way — so I’m grateful you’re sharing part of yours with me.
