What Scripture Says About Fear

Fear is written about throughout the Bible. Practice reading, writing, and even memorizing these Bible verses so you will not fear, but have a power of faith.

Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you. – Deuteronomy 3:22

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. – Deuteronomy 31:6

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go – Joshua 1:9

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. – Psalm 23:4

So why would I fear the future? For your goodness and love pursue me all the days of my life. Then afterward, when my life is through, I’ll return to your glorious presence to be forever with you! – Psalm 23:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:6-7

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. – 2 Timothy 1:7

But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. – 1 Peter 3:14

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. – 1 John 4:18

Then he placed his right hand on me and said: ‘Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.’ – Revelation 1:17
